Roadmap for a Skills Audit for Zimbabwe

BH Associates was asked to prepare a Roadmap for a Skills Audit for the Ministry of Skills Development and Audit in Zimbabwe. The report was submitted in July 2025.

The last comprehensive National Critical Skills Audit was undertaken in 2018. Before embarking on another comprehensive skills audit, the Ministry intends to update its strategic perspective on skills needs, development, and challenges, as part of a national development strategy.

The main body of the report focuses on the framework and roadmap for undertaking a skills audit in Zimbabwe – the rationale for the approach, key steps, data collection strategy, the roadmap methodology, challenges and risks, implementation coordination structure and deliverables, milestones and timelines. 

The Roadmap sets out a structure of actions to identify current skills needs and gaps and forecast future skills needs across key sectors to support the national development strategy, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
